SANTINO AKA “THE VOICE”
Santino Drew aka Santino “the voice” was born on the mean streets of Chicago ILL. March 18th, 1979. He’s the youngest of (3) siblings and was raised in a single parent household. At the age of 5 his mother packed up his home and relocated from place to place for many years until touching down in New Brunswick NJ, where he currently resides. His childhood was not an easy one; he was subjected to crime and drugs as a child which landed him in the Penitentiary at a young age of 17 for weapons & gun charges.
In the prison system he was able to acquire his GED, which ironically was an accomplishment for him, due to the fact that out on the streets he rarely attended middle school and dropped out of high school in order to survive and pay bills at home. Unlike many adolescents on the street around Santino he had a dream, and his dream from the age of 9 was to make music, he realized he had a great talent in writing songs and performing them for his friends out on the block. So he decided to stick to his guns and follow the path that god set before him. While incarcerated Santino wrote songs, and compiled a notebook of music so when his release came 4 years later he formed a group with his close peers called, “Hell or Right”. They performed at various local venues and talent shows which landed them opening acts for all big artists that came and performed in there surrounding area, from Redman to Nas and Jadakiss. Promoters knew that if you’re going to throw a party anywhere near New Brunswick NJ, your opening act must be Santino and the “Hell or Right” crew. Still falling victim to the streets his group disband a few years later due to different jail stints from his “Hell or Right” counter parts, Santino diligently continued his dream solo and formed his own company Boss Talk Music. The name Boss Talk says it all, “big boys doing big things”, there’s absolutely no games played on his court and the talk is all real.
Santino story and wordplay is like no other. He only writes from experience and stays very close to the people in the streets, which don’d him the title, “the voice”. Santino is ready to let the world hear what he’s been stewing for years and his music is definitely for the goons shaking in the traps and the girls shaking in the club. He has connected with other legendary movers and shakers from his hood, and they have put together a game plan that is destined for stardom. With “the voice” behind the mic, and “Tailored Made Productions” associated with “15 4 A Hundred” behind the scenes, there’s nothing they can’t do. Boss Talk Music is flooding the internet with songs gaining views and followers by the minute. Be on the lookout for his first worldwide release of “The Birds Eye View” the mixtape slated to hits streets Nov. 2010. Santino is currently in the studio working with producers from Mista Raja (prod songs from Puffy to Maino) and The Inkredibles (prod songs from Rick Ross to Britney Spears). With his town on his back and the stars in his eyes, Santino aka The Voice is a name that we will hear in the near future. This is Boss Talk Music, this is the resurrection of New Jersey, and this is, history in the making!!!
